And him indeed we could not take, because he was stronger than us, and opening the doors he leaped out:

We saw them lying together, but the man we could not hold, because he was stronger than we; he opened the gates and ran off.

We surprised them lying together, but we were unable to subdue the man because he was much too strong for us. He flung open the doors and escaped.
